Your Legal Obligation for Waste Removal
Duty of Care
Under Section 34 of the Environmental Protection Act 1990, all businesses have a duty of care for the disposal of all their recyclable materials and commercial waste. Business rates do not cover businesses for any recycling or waste collections. Therefore you are responsible for the management of all the waste that your business produces.
