Commercial collection changes
Advanced notice of commercial bin collection changes due to the bank holidays and road closures, will be updated here as necessary.
Botley Road closure:
ODS is aware of proposed works by Network Rail as part of planned improvements to Oxford Train Station. The railway bridge on Botley Road will be closed during this time.
The timetable for the works has been confirmed as follows:
Update: Botley Road will not be able to reopen this October 2023, and the route will remain closed at the rail bridge until October 2024.
- April to October 2023 – Botley Road part closure until end of October for utility diversion work
- July 29 to 6 August 6 2023 – All rail lines through Oxford closed for track work and prep work for new platform.
- March to October 2024 - Botley Road closed for highway work
- August 2024 – Four-day rail closure for bridge replacement.
When the closure is in place we anticipate there will be some disruption to some of our commercial recycling and waste collection services.
We will work with Oxford City Council to minimise disruptions.
Once plans are finalised, we will contact anyone affected by this road closure to organise alternative collection arrangements. Domestic collections will not be impacted.
