General Waste Collection and Disposal in Oxford

General waste is everyday rubbish that cannot be recycled but doesn’t require a special container for disposal. This kind of waste is likely to make up the majority of what you throw away. We ensure your general waste goes to a facility to be converted into heat energy and not to a landfill.

ODS offers a range of ways for your business to dispose of general waste. We provide bins from 240 - 1100 litres as well as collection sacks for businesses with limited storage. For larger businesses, we can supply RoRos and skips, as well as compactors to help reduce waste bulk.

Collections are available Monday to Saturday, between 6am and 9pm, dependent on location.

What happens to your waste?

General waste is disposed of at an Oxfordshire Energy Recovery Facility (ERF). This waste is incinerated and converted into heat energy that is fed into the national grid to power local homes. Disposing of general waste through an ERF is better for the environment compared to disposing of it at a landfill site.
